Fujifilm FinePix XP90 Waterproof digital camera Accessory Bundle
The FinePix XP90 takes over from last year’s XP80 to become FujiFilm’s flagship (and since the discontinuation of the XP200, only) beefed-up as well as water resistant compact camera.
As is often the way with new compact cameras, the XP90 isn’t actually all that new. It boasts precisely the same toughness experience to the XP80, being waterproof to 15m/50ft, shockproof to a height of 1.75m/5.8ft, freezeproof to -10°C/-14°F, as well as dustproof.
Simple To Use
A number of additional factors sealed the deal for me. To start with, the XP90 turns on fast. I generally keep my camera turned off to help save the battery pack, that could sometimes mean missing the fantastic picture. With this camera, I found I could hit the power button and shoot with no hesitation.
The list of food options is straightforward, making it very easy to change modes or other settings on the fly. And the menu options are in plain English, and that means you don’t have to guess what it is that’s being changed. In my opinion, this gave more freedom to consider something new, like shooting in 16:9 ratio.
The increased screen resolution aids display Fujifilm’s clear menu interface at its best. This is split into two tabs: a shooting menu spread over three pages, and a set-up menu covering five pages.
Furthermore, with so many pages of camera options, it isn’t easy to remember where to find any one setting.
Splitting the camera’s functions into additional categories would make for faster, more logical camera management.
